Up & Away, Valentine!

Are you getting sick of this set yet? ;)

I'm not. 

I'm pretty sure that at least one of my kids will be going to school in a couple weeks with a couple dozen of these for their classmates. They're so stinkin' adorable! Or, as my Tasha used to say, "adorbable." I miss those baby words!! They're slowly disappearing and she's starting to talk like a wannabe teenager. It's going by so fast.

ANYHOO, back to the cards. I sat down on the floor by my paper racks and started to shuffle through colors. I wanted to get an ombre effect here, so I chose 5 colors that did it for me. Here, I've chosen Real Red, Watermelon Wonder, Flirty Flamingo, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White. And then I layered it with a silver balloon. Foil or Glimmer - what's your preference? I like 'em both. Shiny AND sparkly!! On the foil one I added some enamel circles and hearts, just for fun.

Dragonflies Dream of Looking This Good

hey friends! So whaddaya think? Like my card for today? I designed this card for my friend Leanna's workshop. I hadn't played much with this set yet and I was excited to dig into it. And I LOVE the result. This is another one of those bundles where the stamps pretty much just tell you what to make with them; there's not a whole lot of creativity necessary to make awesome-looking cards!!

Last Pillow Gift

Here's my last pillow gift for my roomie at the SU Canadian Business Conference.... more to come on that this week. :)

 I've really been on a Mexico theme this year, haven't I?! It's all about this paper pack. I just love it!! It's the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper and it's AWESOME. Apparently very inspiring, because I just keep making things with it!

So, as you can tell, very simple card. I wanted to use the Love Sparkles stamp set that we were given at OnStage in Vancouver in November, so here it is! Super cute set and easy to use!

Isn't this set just so darn cute?! It was my number one must-have item from the new Occasions catalog. It is SO easy to make adorable cards with. It just begs them out of you. You barely even have to be creative. And the best part is... during Sale-a-bration, purchasing the wood stamp set and framelit bundle is qualifies you to get the coordinating Carried Away Designer Series Paper for FREE! You can only get it during Sale-a-bration with a $60 order. The bundle is $68.25 for wood-mount or $59.25 for cling-mount. It's a no-brainer.

You might look at the stamp set and think, huh. That sentiment doesn't look the same in this card. And you'd be right. Every once in a while, I like to switch things up by taking the scissors to the sentiments and arranging them the way the card wants. It was going to be too bulky for this card the way the sentiment is arranged on the stamp, so I improvised! You aren't a slave to the stamp. I've even heard of people *gasp* cutting up their STAMPS so that they're more flexible. I haven't gone that far lately. I have done it though :)

Cloudy Days Can Be Fun, too!

OK, when I got this bundle after Onstage Vancouver, I was SO excited. It's hands-down my absolute favorite thing in the Occasions Catalog. When I discovered that there was a coordinating Designer Paper that I could get FREE during Sale-a-bration, that only sweetened the deal.

 

This is a little taster of that hot-air-balloon set - Lift Me Up - that will be available come January. It is sure to be a hit!! Thoughtful Thursday & A Sneak Peek

I have had quite the morning. This has been my view this morning:

 Because I'm a demonstrator, I get to order things a little earlier than you. So I've spent the morning putting in my huge big preorder of Occasions and Sale-a-bration product!! SO FUN! For a couple of hours, I forget that Christmas hasn't even happened yet and I go wild. I can't wait to get all my new stamps and tools and accessories in!! Have I mentioned how much I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator?!?

So, sorry my blog post is up a little later than usual. I've been busy!! I have all sorts of things on the calendar for the new year - so if you haven't seen it yet, check it out now! New things are being added all the time, too.

ANYWAYS... I thought that in honor of Preorder Day,  I'd share a little sneaky peek with you guys too :) I hope you love it as much as I do... and I cannot WAIT to do a class using this set with you all. It's so awesome. You're going to love it!!
